cattle5Our farm is a local family farm with 785 acres of rolling pastures in the middle of horse county.  The land has been chosen by the best horsemen in the world to breed and raise their thoroughbreds.   The area sits on a bed of limestone, with the highest soil quality available.  The soils are ideal for growing the forage required to produce high quality grass-fed beef.

Keeping sustainability in mind, we strive to heal the land.  We focus on enhancing the well-being of the environment that sustains us now and for future generations.  We do not use chemical fertilizers, commercial pesticides, or herbicides on our pastures.  We love earthworms and other grub bugs.  They do natures work of breaking down the manure, a.k.a. natural fertilizer, to nourish the land and build organic matter.

Our farm has been upgraded with additional fencing, water and seeding to allow for rotational grazing, with ample water and shade for the cattle.  Cattle are moved frequently, sometimes a few times a day to keep them on fresh forage.  This also allows pastures to recover when not in use, preparing them for the next rotation.

Our farming decisions are made with the thought that we are borrowing the land from our children, and need to ensure it continues to produce for generations to come.
